Muswell Hill Mammoths - Premier Cru Edition (Asphalt)
£29.00
At the turn of the century there was no more famous man in London than the world-renowned archaeologist Wilburforce Woolley. Fed up of constantly being stopped in the street for selfies and keen for a quieter life, he moved from his penthouse opposite the Natural History Museum to a modest terraced house in a much quieter, impossible to get to neighborhood of North London - Muswell Hill. One day whilst he was attempting to get out of a bunker whilst hacking his way around the 9 holes of Muswell Hill golf course, he smashed the head of his sand wedge into something that felt remarkably familiar to him - a large bone. He carefully dug it up, slipped it into his bag and took it home. Later that night whilst tucking into his Toffs fish & chips he ran the rule over it, determining that it must have belonged to an elephant, which at the time were fairly common around Ally Pally and the surrounding areas. Further lab tests however concluded that this was in fact the first known discovery of the woolly mammoth. Unfortunately for Wilburforce, the crowds quickly came flocking to the area, via a complex combination of the Northern Line and seven buses. However the royalties that stemmed from the naming rights made him rich beyond his wildest dreams. This led to the inevitable founding of the Muswell Hill Mammoths, now a grand dame of the Northern Conference. Their fortunes have been as up and down as one of Wilburforce's shovels, but they have managed to secure the London Megabowl on three occasions.
